She entered the small, cramped space with a sense of unease. As she moved past the row of neatly folded sheets and towels, her eyes scanned the room for any sign of disturbance or intrusion. She had been warned not to go into this part of the hotel alone.
The air inside was thick with dust and stale air. She could feel it clogging her lungs as she moved deeper into the closet. Her hand instinctively went to the small pistol tucked away in her waistband, a comforting presence as she navigated the dimly lit space.

As she reached for the stack of clean sheets, she caught a glimpse of herself in a dusty mirror hanging on the wall. She smiled wryly at the sight of herself, feeling a pang of self-consciousness about her appearance. But for now, she just had to get out of there, as quickly and quietly as possible. The last thing she needed was to draw any more attention to herself...
